1939

CHACE MEETING THAT LED TO THE CREATION OF THE LABORATORY

Jean Bailleul met Alphonse Bigou when they were fighting in the war and this friendship led to the creation of Bailleul Laboratories several years later.

1940s

DISCOVER VITAMIN SUPPLEMENTS

Alphonse Bigou works on vitamin supplements with Lucie Randoin, the "high Priestess in the topical field, providing fresh answers to people suffering from deficiencies following wartime food rationing.

1949

THE BAILLEUL LABORATOIRES IS SET UP

Jean Bailleul and Alphonse Bigou joined forces to set up the Bailleul Laboratory, focussing on their historical product: Bailleul Cystine.

1950s

NEW COMPLEMENTARY THERAPIES

The Laboratory continues to research different therapy areas: acne, alopecia psoriasis, etc. to study how cystine might help these everyday conditions.

1975

BAILLEUL CYSTINE B6

Adding vitamin B6 Cystine brought about Bailleul Cystine B6 ... The Laboratory's famous "yellow pill" was launched!

1979

TIME TO DIVERSIFY

The Laboratory diversified (open to other activities: particularly dermocosmetics) and began to expand internationally.

1989

DEVELOPING AFAMILY MEDICINE RANGE: THERICA LABORATORY

The Laboratory moved into Family Medicine with products that made it easier to care for everyday conditions (circulation problems, coughs, etc.)

2007

ANEW STEP IN DERMATOLOGY:BIORGA LABORARORY

Biorga enriches the Laboratory's expertise on dermatological diseases such as acne rosacea.

2012

BAILLEUL INTERNAIONAL LABORATORY IS SET UP IN SWITZERLAND

OPENING COMMERCIAL SUBSIDIARY IN PORTUGAL

After Spain in 2005, Belgium in 2006, Bailleul Laboratories set up in Portugal.

OUR HISTORY

The story began during the 1940s when Jean Bailleul and Alphonse Bigou first met, marking the birth of a friendship that eventually led to the creation of Bailleul laboratories in 1949.
A few years before that, Jean Bailleul first invented the Cystine nutritional supplement later named ' Cystine Bailleul'.
Bailleul Laboratories investigated Cystine uses in different therapeutic areas such as acne, alopecia, and psoriasis for years, till 1975 when they started adding Vit B6 to Cystine. The first Yellow Pill was born and named Cystine B6.
By 1979, Bailleul laboratories expanded internationally and diversified their therapeutic areas developing new products to improve patient lives.
In 2007 Bailleul laboratories was launched, focusing on creating innovative and safe skin and hair care products for all users all around the globe.
